The Vanderbilt Service, adapted from a large Sevres tea service, circa 1888, currently on display in the Oak Sitting Room at the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. The Sevres Factory, founded in 1738, is one of Europe's foremost porcelain manufacturers and still produces today.
