The Burlington Bees have a long history as a minor league baseball team, first known as the Bees from 1924–1932 and again from 1954–1981. After being affiliated with various major league teams like the Houston Astros and Cincinnati Reds, the Bees' affiliation with MLB ended after the 2020 season, leading them to join the collegiate Prospect League for 2021. The team has won four league championships: in 1965, 1977, 1999, and 2008.
