This is such a cool piece of history! It is a snapshot in time of how science & technology was viewed in 1885. It was published by the Humboldt Publishing Company in New York, New York, at 19 Astor Place which was named after the (then) richest man in the United States - John Jacob Astor. It is in decent condition for the fact that it is almost 140 years old! There is a name written on the front, Marion E. Sanborn; possibly the magazine's original owner?
